Our History
In 1999, after working as a financial planner for several years, Clarke Chenier saw a need for a professional, yet affordable tax preparation service. As a result, Shoebox Tax Services was born around his dining room table in Sandy Hill. The business flourished and after it took over most of his apartment he moved it to the current location on Carling Avenue.
In 2011, with the hope of retirement looming, Clarke partnered with Robert Robillard and Jack Livingstone, two Ottawa accountants with years of experience who shared his commitment to client service. When Clarke turned 70 we let him retire, but remain in touch and he continues to share his vast knowledge of clients and tax matters.
Our name, Chenier Tax Specialists, reflects both our history and who we are. We appreciate the confidence that our current clients give us, and we would welcome you to this growing list.
